The inspiration for this post came from a reader’s comment. The second summer I spent in Malta, I learned how to cook (see this post). I had an ample amount of free time and a really good vegetable shop around the corner from where I was staying. The local produce is delicious and cheap.
I usually cook vegetarian meals and then throw in some meat on the side for my guy. Now that my daughter has shown herself to be a voracious carnivore, I am in the process of improving my meat dishes. I also follow a wheat free diet (see this post), which can be incredibly challenging while in Malta since there is an abundant supply of pizza, pasta, and fresh bread... but, ALAS, I do my best.
To answer your question, dear Reader, please find below a few of my favourite meals to make in Malta! I hope you enjoy cooking & eating them as much as I do.
