I have, however, fallen into an abyss of love and sunshine. My family has been reunited and it is magical.
We wake up in the morning and converge in our big bed, hiding under soft white sheets. We walk lazily down to the beach and dip our toes in cold salt water. We hold hands and laugh and live only for each other. We watch our skin darken from the sun and our daughter’s hair coil into tight curls from the humid air.
We fill ourselves with moments and laughter and eat up every day greedily. I write it all in my head—pages and pages of beauty.
At night my head falls to my pillow, exhilarated and exhausted from my adventurous life. Once I find a rhythm again, I will fill this notebook with these echoes and offer it humbly to you.
